In the interests of keeping my pallet open  and drinking things I can bearly read, let alone sell, I have bought a bottel of Peroni (I at least recognise that name) Doppio malto ran Risera.... which I believe is hinting at it being 'the good stuff' when it comes to Peroni.

The name Peroni, I'm pretty sure is one of a lager type beer that I've had in the past in restaronts when they didn't have anything. nd I've found it exeptable. Not too bad for a lager/beer.

The information on the bottle (which I usually egnore) is sparse and appears  more interested in where the drink comes from. It instantly makes me think of continental beers in it's look but I can't quite explain why... Is it the colour or the amount of banners and eagles in the illustrations? maybe.

On opening the cap you can really smell malt with a hint of citrus.
The drink it's self is golden amber in colour and lightly sprecelling
The taste is very stronge bitter and of malt but with a lager like base and aftertaste with the same strenge of citrus in the taste as to the smell.

Over the ordinary Peroni (if they are related and I assume they are) I would have to say that the taste, colour smell and bottle illustrations are much improved and grander but it still tastes like a larger/beer... so a larger, which is therefore not quite to my taste but if you like that sort of thing... continental beers that is... then plese do give this a go. it's better than the usual ones you get.
